About your Paper 2 Exam
Paper 2 is the SL part of the course. You are required to write two essays in 90 minutes. You must answer only one essay from each of the sections above (i.e. Authoritatrian States and the Cold War). There will be a choice of two essay questions in each section. Check out the syllabus guidance for each of the sections.

What will my Paper 2 Exam look like?
As you know, there are no past papers for this History course as you are the first students to go through it. However:
1. They will follow the format of the Specimen Paper and Mark Scheme (download them by clicking on the question image below). Note: you must answer one question on Authoritarian States and one question on the Cold War. There will be two questions set on each to choose from.
2. We have made lists of many possible essay questions (with mark schemes where we can) in the topic specific pages that you can reach by clicking on the tabs at the top of the page. Use these for revision.

Some Example Levelled Essays
