Planning and Writing:
Section B should be approached in a similar way to any History essay - it should be approached thematically, there should be a Clear Line of Argument that runs throughout, as well as the inclusion of different perspectives where appropriate. MLA 8 citations should be frequent and reflect a rich range of sources used.
In order to make this clear, we will be 'backward engineering' an essay in class. Your teacher will guide this process but in essence you should:
1. Read the essay. Annotate the CLA, the theme of each paragraph, note the use of TS, identify evidence and inspect the introduction and conclusion.
2. Now complete the Dead Fish Essay plan below for the essay - the aim is to see how this student went through their planning
3. Discuss / consider the process that likely occurred before this point.
