Which leaders should I revise?
1. You must revise a main dictator (Hitler or Castro) for questions that focus on one leader. You will know these leaders in greater detail from our course.
2. You should also revise Mao who will be used in comparative questions (therefore in less depth). Remember, comparative questions usually state 'each from a different region' which means you may not compare Hitler and Mussolini (they will not let you off - you will lose half of the available marks for not observing 'each from a different region' command term).
3. It is possible that both questions in your exam paper will be comparative.
*HL students will need to revise Hitler and Mussolini for Paper 3 in any case.

Further Past Paper Questions from the old syllabus:
Below are the past paper 2 questions on this unit from previous years. You will select one essay to write from this section in the exam - have a go at as many as you can as part of your revision. Unlike the Cold War, the mark schemes do not contain specific content and so have not been included (this is because different schools will teach a wide range of different dictators).
